Today is a special day for my #dancelibrary! After years of research (because some editions were out of print) I was able to complete my book collection on #WalterLaird‘s work. I am particularly proud of the limited edition (Hardcover edition “Green Book”) from the year 2003, a reprinted version of the 2nd edition from the year 1972. Of course, during Walter Laird’s lifetime, there was excellent literature on #DanceSport of other authors, too. However, especially in recent years, a number of outstanding works have been created, which refer to the further development of Competitive Latin American Dancing in terms of dance technique, music, didactic or sports science. Nonetheless, I humbly appreciate his work because it allows me to hold some traditions, true values, and concentrated dance history in my hands.
